I am an Oakland-based portrait and lifestyle photographer. I've always been fascinated by stories and the emotions that make them so moving and memorable. Perhaps this is why I chose to study Journalism and Communication in the early millennium. That time in college solidified my passion for visual storytelling and photography. As the decade progressed, I advanced my professional career in my home country, Brazil, working with the Press Office and Marketing, where I had numerous opportunities to use my photography skills in corporate events and branding shoots. Today, I am content and fulfilled because I am able to work directly with my clients and tell their stories with the same professionalism and a lot more love.

How did you get started with photography

Ever since I can remember, I was always the kid on elementary school class trips to take a camera along and capture moments. The hobby & interest grew over the school years to then a much bigger camera being my "plus1" at friend's weddings... and then the biggest revelation was when I learned what having the travel bug meant. Just me, my camera, and the world to see. It wasn't until years later after already having an established career, did I make the leap to professional photography. The first career wasn't feeling creative anymore, so I needed a bigger change.

What do you love about your job?

The variety of projects I get to work on, as well as the variety of products and people I get to work with. Keeps the creativity constantly fresh and one project inspires another.

What are some of your favorite places in San Francisco to take photographs?

I love being bi-coastal in SF and NYC... and have tons of favorite spots, involving a cityview, a bridge, and the water... more importantly, is my favorite time of day to shoot at these spots, which is usually sunrise.
