camera Sony A7 III

Carol handles all kinds of photography including portraits, candids, families, weddings, parties, tourism, music & sporting events, workshops, lifestyle, behind the scenes, dating profiles, visuals, and is always looking for a new challenge. She has been behind the camera for over three years now, mostly self taught through online trainings and field experience. This has allowed her to have a unique take on the composition & style of her photos. Carol has always held a burning passion for creating. 10 of those years were spent on a basketball court - constantly improvising & making something out of nothing. As her love grew for storytelling & aesthetic visuals, that creative fire transformed from shooting a basketball to shooting with a Sigma 24-70mm lens. She'll still do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot, even if it means laying on the ground or jumping off a cliff.

How did you get started with photography

It all started with watching Disney and Spielberg movies as a kid. Every frame was a work of art, creating and stirring emotion within me. The day I picked up a camera for the first time, I found I had a natural talent for recreating the feeling I had when watching my favorite films. I've been honing my craft ever since.

What do you love about your job?

Life is fleeting, and there's nothing more important to me then capturing those special moments in peoples lives. To see the look on their faces as they reminisce over old photos is why I do what I do, because one day, those photos will be by me. Art and beauty is what we live for, and I wholesomely believe that capturing people, in a personalized way, is one of the most important roles I could have. Talent; family; surprise proposals; intimate moments. The greatest gift I could give anyone is capturing a photo of how it felt to be there.

What are some of your favorite places in New York City to take photographs?

Despite half of Manhattan being the most beautiful backdrop in the world, the West Village is probably my favorite area to shoot in. The streets are lined with some of the most gorgeous and distinctive architecture in New York. From vines covering entire buildings to rustic old garage doors, that area has personally helped me capture incredible photographs. Chinatown, Battery Park and Central Park in the winter are definitely my runners up.
