camera Canon EOS R, Canon EOS 7D Mark II

My journey into photography started as a fascination with capturing moments and spaces, which gradually evolved into a full-blown passion. Initially, I delved into real estate photography, finding joy in showcasing properties in their best light. Running my own business in New Zealand honed my skills, teaching me the nuances of lighting, composition, and the importance of attention to detail in portraying properties effectively. Moving to Australia presented new opportunities and challenges, but my dedication to photography remained unwavering. Expanding my repertoire, I ventured into providing prestige videos, 3D tours, floor plans, drone photos, and drone video services, enriching my skill set and offering clients a comprehensive visual experience. Virtual staging became another tool in my arsenal, allowing me to transform spaces digitally and help clients envision the potential of a property. Photogrammetry added a new dimension to my work, allowing me to create detailed 3D models from photographs, further enhancing my ability to showcase properties with depth and accuracy. Event photography provided yet another avenue for creativity, capturing the essence and emotion of special occasions. Throughout my journey, my passion for photography has been the driving force behind my growth and success. I constantly seek to refine my skills, staying abreast of industry trends and technology advancements to deliver exceptional results for my clients. Each click of the shutter is an opportunity to tell a story, evoke emotion, and create lasting impressions, fueling my love for the art of photography.

How did you get started with photography

I started in high school, photography was part of the school’s art program, we used SLR cameras and developed our own photos in the school’s laboratory. I quickly fell in love the the process and spent a lot of time behind the camera and in the lab. In year 12, I was awarded the Queensland Creative Excellence Award for my photography project.

What do you love about your job?

I love interacting with all kinds of people and capturing their best expressions in a way that they will enjoy seeing themselves. I see every photo as a collaboration with the subject and strive to produce an image that we can both be proud of. Some people are naturally inclined to pose and others don’t think they will enjoy it so much, I like working with both and making sure that everyone has a positive experience while take a great picture together.

What are some of your favorite places in Brisbane to take photographs?

My favourite place is Hornibrook Bridge connecting Brisbane and Redcliffe, There is a great sense of perspective there and great natural lighting in the afternoon. The contrast of the massive structure of the bridge with the sky and water is striking. I've taken some of my favourite pictures in that area.
