More about William C....
What do you love about your job?
There are a lot of things to love about being a photographer. For myself, I love the challenge of it. I love that I have to be technically skilled enough to execute something that I have a vision for. It's very rewarding to see the process start with an idea and finish with beautiful images either printed or on screen. I also love being able to connect and work with other people who themselves have amazing ideas. Sometimes I'm providing photography for someone who is working on a lifelong dream or vision and I consider that a tremendous honour and responsibility.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've done many types of shoots in the past and making them special is the end goal of every shoot. If I'm working with a commercial client such as a restaurant owner, then I try to find what sets the restaurant apart from their competition and then I highlight that aspect of the business. Whether it be the physical space of the restaurant, the aesthetic of the menu, or a unique preparation process it's all part of my client's vision and helping in that process can be very fulfilling.
If I'm photographing a traveller or vacationer and we are out on an adventure shoot, then I try to connect with my client and if necessary I'll encourage them to get out of their comfort zone. I use my know-how to pose and position them in an ideal spot, and then I encourage them to just have fun!
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've worked the last two years for a photography agency while living in Dublin, Ireland. During my time there I maintained one of the highest level of client satisfaction ratings possible. I was also recognized as one of their best photographers in Dublin.
A fun fact about this photographer
I've swam with whale sharks and manta rays and I love being in the ocean!
