More about TIMOTHY M....
What do you love about your job?
Over the years I have honed my skills in many varied genres with a special interest in fine art subjects as well as the drama found both on stage and on the court. Interestingly, I have also really enjoyed photographing at local car shows. I love producing images that bring out the best in whatever subject I am photographing. It might be the powerful lines of a muscle car, capturing an athlete at the peak of action, or making an image of a food dish that is so good you can almost taste it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Over the years I have photographed a wide variety of subjects. As a faculty member with camera skills, I spent a lot of time photographing a variety of sports, loving the challenge of learning when the peak action occurs in each different endeavor. I've also enjoyed photographing stage productions and live concerts. Capturing the emotion and lighting is an exciting challenge. When photographing events I especially enjoy focusing on people working with their hands.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Recently I earned the "2023 Columbia Photograph of the Year" award for an image of the Columbia Skyline that I submitted to ColaToday. I have also received recognition for several images on ViewBug
