Selena has worked for many years as a professional photographer with a varied client base, including real estate companies, private enterprise and individuals who value her expertise and guidance. Her journey into photography began through her work as a magazine editor managing photo shoots and the styling. This led her to formally study photography so she could bring her visualisation of each concept to life with full control of compositions and thus the final product. This led to many years of shooting editorial for print publication which was very varied, from, events, portraits, food, fashion, lifestyle and products to name a few. From there she studied further in the field of real estate photography and currently works with many agents in and around the Ballarat and regional Victoria area.

What do you love about your job?

I love meeting new people and the creative challenges that comes with each job . You get to work in many different environments and are constantly on the move, not bound to an office which I love. It is always exciting to work on a new project and be creative while helping people realise their goals.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done lots of different styles of shoots and I think what makes them special is gathering as much knowledge beforehand and really getting to know the client and listening to them plus, understanding the brief given to you and making sure to clarify specifics beforehand. Also, making the experience as fun as possible while keeping it professional.

A fun fact about this photographer

I studied belly dancing for many years and preformed professionally in Melbourne, London and the Middle East plus travelled to many countries to learn from other professionals.
