What do you love about your job?

I love that everyday is something different. Different people and different locations. I love telling a part of history through my photography.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done many news stories where I use photography to best tell the story. I do this objectively and with respect to the subject.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I have won numerous Illinois Press Photographer Association and National Press Photographer Association monthly photography awards. I have been a member of the National Press Photographers Association for over 20 years.

A fun fact about this photographer

In my spare time, I love to get lost painting and collecting miniatures as well as being a nerd by building complex LEGOs. I also enjoy spending time with my 8 year old son.
