More about Rudi G....
What do you love about your job?
I love that photography is an engaging medium that can tell stories, drive change and both convey and elicit emotion. An amazing aspect of photography is that the shoot experience can positively impact the model/client and the photographer. The same-space collaboration required is unique in the modern world and is one that creates community, be it only for a couple of hours.
Photography is also an incredible outlet for creativity and has always been a therapeutic and positive activity for me.
But being able to freeze beautiful and meaningful moments in people’s lives is the most rewarding part of the job for me. To see my clients and friends glowing with happiness at what we were able to create together is remarkable and beyond fulfilling.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many portrait and product-related shots, often based in nature. Having photographed nature and people for close to 10 years now, I know how to make both look aesthetically pleasing through lighting and composition. Spending time in nature is an obvious bonus for everyone at the shoot, as it gives us a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Still, cities have often provided me with stellar settings and backdrops and I enjoy shooting in them, too.
Shooting portraits and products in a studio or a room is also fun for me, because I highly enjoy the art of lighting and being in controlled environments.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
