More about Roy M....
What do you love about your job?
I love all of the many places that photography and being a photographer has taken me. Having a camera in my hand has given me so many wonderful opportunities to relate to others, explore my creative nature, and produce images that I and others love and expand my mind with each project I take.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many types of shoots, both as a photographer and as a videographer - from small independent films to bigger, multi-cam projects - and one thing that i do to make them special is that I remain focused on the people in front of the camera, especially with a portrait shoot or a narrative or documentary shoot. Those types of shoots are much less about myself and my camera work, but more about how i can help tell the story of this person or people involved.
A fun fact about this photographer
One fact about me that I think helps me be a great photographer is that I have the ability to connect and relate to so many types of personalities. I find a lot of value in the human connection that is made - either between a client and myself, or between myself and a subject or another creative collaborator that I'm working with.
