Riccardo was born in Rome on February, 6th, 1975. He started photographing at age of 16, when he got his first analogue camera. He did nice rural- and urban landscape photography for a couple of years, when he typically went around in Rome, Florence and other italian cities with a camerabag full of optics and filters and a tripod. He was really excited about the good quality of his pictures inside many famous churchs and also about city lights and light trails left by cars at night! After that, his course of studies and his career as a space engineer took him away from active photography for a while. A few years ago, Riccardo had a brand-new start in digital photography, in particular people/portrait/lifestyle/commercials. He absolved the first half of a well renowned photography school in Austria, as well as workshops and online education. He still keeps on learning and specializing while shooting.

What do you love about your job?

I love to create compelling and moody visual sets, which hopefully convey to the viewer all emotions I feel while shooting and even more!
I love shaping the light (natural and artificial), suggesting wardrobe, hairstyle and makeup to my models, finding compellign poses in such a way that my inner vision come true on my camera's sensor!

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have experience with people and portrait photography as well as lifestyle and also fitness shooting. I have been shooting mostly on self-assignments for stock photography.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

Two pics of mine were featured by Nikon Photography nr. 110 (Italian edition).
Furthermore, I am very proud of the verbal recognition I got from a famous american still-photographer.

After starting University, I was so busy and also so fascinated by all that I was learning that I thought that photography was over!
