More about Phuong T....
What do you love about your job?
To be honest I love the gear. I love the combination of all the different gear that I own which allows me to create something meaningful for my clients. The stories that I tell through just one click can have a lasting impression on my clients. I remember doing a proposal shoot. The soon to be bride absolutely enthralled with my work and described it as “magical”.
That moment there, I thought to myself it’s amazing that I can do something that people can appreciate directly. It’s definitely not corporate work where you’re just a cog in a giant wheel. I think you don’t get the same sort of immediate appreciation for your work.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I am introverted by nature but I strive to connect to people by having a good conversation with them. That’s why I love doing event photography. When I communicate well with the subjects the reaction is what I am looking for. Their laughter, their smiles and their interaction with their loved ones. Each of those candid moments are special because you can never replicate the same shot again.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am Vietnamese by race French by birthright and Australian by nationality. And I’ve never been to Vietnam.
