More about Philip P....
What do you love about your job?
I love being a photographer because it allows me to immerse myself in the art of observation. Through my lens, I witness the world with heightened awareness, capturing stories that words alone cannot convey. Photography enables me to explore and share the beauty, emotions, and intricate details that make up our existence, preserving them as cherished memories for generations to come. It is a creative journey that constantly inspires and fills my heart with joy.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Photos I took at events generally produced the best results in terms of the genuine expressions and body language of the attendees/subjects. Candid photos are the most special because they capture the real emotions of people.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
The recognition I've received is mostly from Facebook photography groups. These groups have used my photos as the group's cover page. As a photography instructor, I get occasionally verbal appreciation/recognition from my adult students for my good teaching skills.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am fascinated with astrophotography. I used to own a telescope. I took photos of the moon and the planets using that telescope and a phone camera. I also took photos of the milky way and the starry night sky using a DSLR and a wide lens. I would occasionally spend several hours at night shooting star trails. I also used a Skytracker and a super-telephoto lens to shoot the blood moon.
