More about Nina D....
What do you love about your job?
I love the human element in photography – I enjoy the interaction with my clients, hearing out their vision, feeling the creative flare a chef puts in his plate of food, the elegant modernist style an interior designer creates, the warm touches sprinkled thorough the home from owners who like their house, and much more. It is my privilege to continue and elaborate on their work, doing my best to capture in photography what other individuals have created. I love helping people showcase their work or their place in the best light possible, putting it on the spotlight, helping it to get the attention it deserves.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
With my real estate photoshoot, I bring on my knowledge on how reality is captured by camera - what looks great to the naked eye often needs to be slightly changed for the camera - and the small change makes a difference. I take extra care about lighting, maximising natural light and using HDR bracketing to ensure the property is bright and spacious. I design the compositions, the patterns that human mind intuitively finds beautiful. Same applies for food photography, composition is key, and I like to re-use restaurant decorations in a new a surprising way to enhance my food pictures
A fun fact about this photographer
I worked my school summers as bartender and as a consequence I can still make a really great margarita 😉 Used to make me very popular with my schoolmates. I enjoy backpacking and traveling, especially away from civilisation, to the places that are still uncorrupted by mass tourism industry. Spending nights in a tent in the Carpathian mountains, nothing around just a starry night above, or waking up in the mists of Mazurian lakes and seeing how each lake reflect a different colour, or spending a day hidden in reed in Danube delta, observing the birds rearing their offspring, those are some of my most memorable experiences.
