Neville Jones has ten years experience as a photographer and has won awards such as the National category of the World Photography Awards, Fine Art – Landscape category of the International Photography Awards and Australian Photograph of the Year. He has an Adv. Dip of Photography.

Jones enjoyed a successful corporate career before switching to his twin passions of Travel and Photography in 2014.

Whilst at a meeting in Hong Kong, Jones decided to take the first steps on his new journey. He looked up his Bucket List and found Guilin, a short flight into mainland China. From there he travelled by car to a tiny fishing village and negotiated to spend the dark hours of a morning with a cormorant fisherman, taking photographs of him at work. One of those photos, "Going Home" won the award for best Australian photograph in the World Photography Awards. That photograph was exhibited at Somerset House in London for a month.

What do you love about your job?

The three pillars of my working life, Advertising, Travel and Photography are linked by my passion for purposeful storytelling. I aim to entertain, inform and inspire. There are millions of worthy stories waiting to be told. I enjoy discovering and revealing those stories, regardless of whether the audience is hundreds of thousands or just one person.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have photographed African wildlife is difficult conditions, portraits on location in China, models in studio and street, corporate headshots, product shots etc. Mostly I look for or create interesting light direction and quality. I try to do as much as reasonably possible in camera. I am also extremely proficient with Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.

I am a "slasher". This is the new term to describe Millennials' aspiration for variety in their everyday job. So I am a photographer/videographer/editor/photography tour leader/travel consultant/advertising agency director. But I'm not a Millennial. :-)
