More about Nathanael C....
What do you love about your job?
I love capturing (and offering) snapshots of real life, as moments fly by and pictures testify of our memories. I also enjoy the challenge of getting the best images in a given situation. That involves being alert to what is going on, understand the human aspects of an event as well as making the best of the light and angles I can use to make worthy stills. In the case of still life (be it food or real estate for instance), I enjoy the challenge of capturing the visual nature of the subject to its highest potential.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
When I take portraits, or shoot an event or a wedding, I make sure I get to understand who the people I’m dealing with are and how comfortable they are with being photographed. If it’s weird for them, it’s weird for me and it’s best to talk and laugh about it. Usually, talking about the character they wish to (or avoid to) show will loosen up the situation and make them have an authentic attitude that will show in the photos.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have not entered any competition so far.
A fun fact about this photographer
I used to act in a theater company. Now I’m their official photographer and videographer for each production (about 6 per year).
