More about Michael G....
What do you love about your job?
There's something powerful about framing a subject and taking that shot — capturing that moment — freezing time. I was gifted with the ability to convey my emotional connection to a subject, a quality of space or a feeling about light through a medium that simultaneously flattens the world... and expands it. When I hear that shutter click I know that I've taken a small piece of the world. Then it's my happy responsibility to share it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Every real estate shoot is special because I'm capturing how people live and creating images to serve others who are seeking a similar life. No two homes are the same — no two rooms are the same! I consistently marvel at the human ability to assemble material, color and texture to make spaces that relay the emotional quality of their souls. But to be specific, I once shot a $26M 100-acre estate with all the bells-and whistles one might expect. I spent the weekend there and captured every broad stroke and detail, from the $50K lapis lazuli countertop to the shower with 42 jets to the special wallpaper that was milled from the owner's favorite tree in Sumatra... It was spectacular.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
