More about Larry N....
What do you love about your job?
I love the craft of photography. Whether working with products, a building, or people, there's a balance between technology, skill and art, that I find challenging, yet fascinating. I really enjoy looking at a situation, and figuring out what would capture it the best, how to show it literally and figuratively in the best light, and then trying to achieve that within the camera. There is a real joy in being able to freeze a moment and show a place, object or person in a wonderful and unique way.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have shot products, events, architecture, food, and portraits. What I enjoy most is being able to relax people during portrait shoots, to allow them to become more comfortable, and enjoy the process. In doing so, I'm able to capture them at their best. To see someone having fun during the shoot, and love their photos after, is really special for the client, as well as myself.
When it comes to shoots of buildings, food or products, it's the details that makes it special. Really working the angles, lighting, and composition, to make the subject matter sing, while also creating a well balanced cohesive photograph.
A fun fact about this photographer
I spent a semester in Florence, Italy, my senior year of college, as a fine arts / graphic design student.
