What do you love about your job?
I love connecting with different people, and capturing something about them which tells their story. I'm extremely passionate about visual storytelling, which is why I have been drawn to working largely within the performing arts, with actors and theatre/filmmakers.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I had quite a few years as a fashion photographer before moving into the performing arts so the majority of work I've done have been with models. I was often photographing an agency's development section, so most of the girls were quite young (in their teens) and for a few it was their first or second shoot ever. I loved giving them confidence in front of the camera, and seeing how my encouragement of them gave them a boost that translated into stronger images.
