More about Julia S....
What do you love about your job?
Most of all I like to create the symbols and stories inside of the frame. Metaphors give people more than only an image of someone. They have an idea, an expression, a path inside, a story you'll never forget. I create the adventure, through which it is interesting to pass.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done commercial solo portrait in abandoned building: we took the trench coat and a hat in costume rental and created the story about fearless manager who is ready for everything to get a new contract.
I had a creative portrait photo shoot about a woman who is practicing the purifying meditation every evening - so she has a younger look and is very open-minded. So we used a studio with a bath tube on black background. It helped us to create the image of pure soul.
I had a photoshoot with nanny, who is very talented in playing music and is very young and free inside. So I made a collages with her portraits and onions laying on music notes. I used an onion as a symbol of variety of layers of the person.
A fun fact about this photographer
When I was in my maternity leave I began to make photos of spoiled food. I created a separate Instagram account for it. So now I have a collection of a weird photos.
