More about Jordan H....
What do you love about your job?
I love being able to consistently surprise myself, my friends, and my clients with the visual results from shoots. Going into a new environment, shooting a new subject, not sure of how the results will turn out, and being amazed every single time.
There is so much to learn and experience with photography. I'll be able to experience it all, but I'm always willing to jump and give it a go.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Band Promos
Music Gigs, primarily through my use of framing and edit style. My personal favourite trick that artists loved, was finding a small gap between the drum kit or microphone stands to shoot a picture of a band member. Just little frames within frames that give my images a unique flare. Editing images with much attention deep, rich, cinematic colours that make them pop.
Live events, interacting with as many people as possible through the shoot. From musicians, bar workers, and attendees. It's great when they finally find the confidence to ask me for a photo.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Unfortunately not (yet). Though, I so far have not met anyone who hasn't thought my photography wasn't pretty cool. That's gotta count for something, right?
A fun fact about this photographer
I've played guitar for about 14 years, way longer than my journey in visual arts. I'm a relatively decent fingerstyle guitarist, but this is completely overshadowed by my camera skills.
