What do you love about your job?
Oh, so many things. I love how being a photographer entails so many different things. Not only do I get to capture great photos and edit them, which I love, but I also get to meet new people, learn about them, share about myself, and build lifelong friendships. In addition, I get to be involved on some of the most memorable days of my clients lives, which often turn into being some of the most memorable days for me as well! Whether the day is full of fun, stress, or a mixture of both, I'm able to be there to help my clients get through it if they could use a hand, and am always able to capture the moment of whatever is going on. Being a photographer enables me to wear lots of different hats and keeps me busy, and I love every part of it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
One of my specialties is family portraits. Because I am very much a family man myself and have very young children, I am often able to easily relate to the families I photograph. Since I am a father, I have a few tricks up my sleeve that my own kids love, so I always have fun trying them on other kids I meet. Sometimes it may be singing "Baby Shark", running and jumping around like a ninja, or telling corny "dad jokes", I'm usually always bound to get atleast a chuckle or two out of the kids along with the parents. To me, this makes the time with my clients much more enjoyable and I'm able to create a mood or emotion that I can then capture, which may not have have been possible if I didn't mind potentially making a fool of myself.
