What do you love about your job?

I love so many things about photography, but my favorite part is the people. That's why I only photograph people. I get to connect and photograph unique people all the time, sometimes in the most important parts of their lives. I get to show them themselves through someone else's eyes and their beauty in a way they may never have seen it before.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done more weddings than anything else and I make them special by really focusing on the details and the quiet moments for part of it, and then the joy and happiness during the reception. I'm a people watcher and because of that, I see it all and capture it all. Also, I make sure people have fun with me! It's not fun to stand or sit there and look stiff, so being a people person and having a big personality is contagious and my clients often feed off my energy which is always great!

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I've been published a few places but I don't really put a lot of stock in being "an award winning photographer", honestly. I just love what I do and if that brings an award, great, but connecting with my clients and bringing them their great photos is where my heart is.

A fun fact about this photographer

I'm fluent in ASL. My great aunt and uncle are Deaf and because of that, I took and interest in learning so I can communicate with them. I love it and the Deaf community.
