What do you love about your job?

I love being able to work with others to bring out different aspects of them they didn't know existed. The best feeling is hearing from a client wow I didn't know I could look like that! Being able to read personalities and how to shape them in a way it brings out their best selves is challenging yet so rewarding. I'm also a very experienced retoucher and taking a raw file to it's greatest potential always brings so much excitement!

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I recently did a difficult family shoot in which the client really wanted me to get in and out while the kids were being attentive! They didn't want many photos taken, they were mainly looking for that one Christmas card photo. This posed a great challenge because I wanted to take my time and do my best, but timing here was a big struggle. Through encouraging words and letting the kids know they were doing a great job paying attention, I was able to squeeze extra shots in and they wound up being over the moon with the results I got. It's always a fine line between pushing the client for more because you know it will be best and with making sure you're not pushing them too far.

When I'm not shooting or editing, you can find me being super active whether it's taking a HIIT class, boxing or yoga. I love finding fun ways to incorporate exercise into my daily routine!
