What do you love about your job?
Photography has been my way out, my escape of the dreadful routine job that I had prior to photography. I was a programmer at a servicing providing company that did nothing for my artistic and creative ambitions. I did manage to land a part time job as a male model at "Nidal's Agency" and it is this where my experiences with photography began. Once I finally purchased a camera, it became an obsession, an endless well of inspiration that I needed to empty through photography. We all have a deep subconscious voice that tells us whether what we do is aligned with what fulfills us. photography has been that for me, and I should mention that it has been no easy task, far from it, I could've easily stayed at my comfortable desk job and receive constant pay. However, The meeting of new people, the smiles of hundreds of people I've photographed, the meaning a simply still frame can have, the ability it has to inspire and motivate and relieve passed moment...This is what photography is to me and this why I love what I do.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've done fashion photography for @pamelsmithofficial where we shot mainly in 3 different locations; The seashore of Batroun, Batroun village club and the Mseilha Fort. After seeing the clothing pieces, I decided to go for a mid-modern rugged vintage look. We brought in a Vintage Harley Davidson and placed our models on and around the vehicle.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've been recognized by the Beirut center of photography for my iconic Lebanese landscape work on Instagram and requested that I should print out my work and have them displayed at the yearly art convention. However, this was a few weeks prior to my leave to Vancouver to pursue a degree as a 3D VFX artist at the Vancouver film school and thus unfortunately never gotten the chance to do so.
A fun fact about this photographer
Prior to photography, I was a male model and received second place in the international Manhunt beauty pageant competition. Even though it was a joyful experience, I had little interest in becoming a model myself. Instead, I was more intrigued by photography. Since then it has allowed me to express myself in ways I could never have done with words.
