More about Emily R....
What do you love about your job?
I love working with people and capturing memories. Being a photographer is a unique role that makes me both a skilled professional and an artist. I get to relate to people and share in their special moments, while skillfully composing the frame which will memorialize a part of that. It brings me joy to know that the finished product I give someone can take them back in time to fond memory, or give someone confidence by showing a them perspective they don't normally see.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
In the year I have been shooting professionally, I have done wedding and portrait photography. The weddings I've shot I made special by pumping up the bride, groom, and family to capture their pure joy and celebration. When shooting portraits, I create a relaxed environment for the model, so that they can pose more naturally and together we can create a photo that we are both really happy with.
A fun fact about this photographer
My main form of employment is working on movie, TV, and commercial sets as a camera assistant, which means I do the slate before each take (aka the "clapper"). During my work I've met Mark Ruffalo, Anne Hathaway, and Regina King, just to name a few.
