More about Elmir V....
What do you love about your job?
Photography is about stories of course. Freezing an image for eternity. A single image of let's say a portrait of an elderly citizen, can tell you a hundred stories. A single moment that can capture an emotion and feeling, that would let the person relive that moment and feel that emotion many years later. I love my job for so many things. It doesn't even feel like work when I do it. I just feel like I'm living through the best human experiences and get to be a part of so many special moments, meet many different people and learn many different things. I love being able to create and share something people will cherish. Create stories, create art.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many weddings and engagements, family photos, boudoir shoots and portraits in general. I'm a very easy going person, and I make sure the people in photos are relaxed and themselves. I love to capture true moments and people are really themselves of course when they don't feel the pressure of the camera. I am very personable and can keep a conversation with people to feel a bit more of a connection as well.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Just online awards on viewbug.com. I don't really apply myself for any of that stuff. The best reward for me is when people tell me that they love their photos.
A fun fact about this photographer
I was born in Soviet Union, a country now called Azerbaijan. I grew up there as well as Switzerland and Kenya before moving to Canada 15 years ago. I'm a big traveler.
