More about David S....
What do you love about your job?
When I was in journalism, freezing moments in time. When I started shooting food, taking a photograph of a food item and when i'd show someone the photo, they'd say "that looks so delicious, I am so hungry now," it felt like my job was done.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Well I have shot mostly "young' professionals in the corporate world. I have shot a few "non-young" professionals lately and I just have to make them feel comfortable in front of the camera, by telling them how to pose the best way so they don't feel uncomfortable and have a bad session not liking their photos.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was honored a few awards from the jr college that I attended from some photos I took when I was taking photojournalism, including 1st place for spot news, 2nd place for hard news and honorable mention for a photo essay for a Nazi rally I covered in Downtown Los Angeles.
A fun fact about this photographer
I played little league when I was younger and made it to semi-finals in state to almost go to Pennsylvania for the little league world series.
