More about Dave C....
What do you love about your job?
I love meeting new people, seeing what is important to them, and trying my best to capture their space the best way I know-how. I had a corporate job for almost 20 years, and the liberty and freedom I've experienced being able to commit full time to something I love is life-changing. Finally, having the ability to tap into the creative side and seeing the joy on your client's faces when they see their pictures brings a smile to my face.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've shot a lot of houses. I try to make each one stand out in their own way but sometimes it's hard. You don't have a lot to work with but maybe it's close to a park or has a mountain view in the background, so we can pull a drone out and include the house. People sessions are just trying to find that moment. To me, it's finding the unscripted smile, the look he/she has for their partner, a child's laughter, just trying to be present in the moment and capturing what it was like to be there.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have several landscape photos on calendars. Most have been featured by Real Estate agents who send them to their clients.
A fun fact about this photographer
I ran a non-profit for ten years in Eastern Washington that was an all-ages venue primarily for ages 13-25. We would have many high school bands to travel artists trying to get their big break.
