More about Carol W....
What do you love about your job?
I love that every shoot is different. I get excited meeting & getting to know people, their journey, what they love, what their best features are, and putting it all together in a timeless memory.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
As seen earlier, I cover several types of shoots. My most common ones are family portraits and dating profiles. These are laid back since they are very personal shoots, and I want my clients to feel as comfortable as possible so they can just be themselves.
I have experience as a youth sports coach for a couple years, so I know how to adapt with children & relate to all ages during a shoot - whether it's making a funny face to get a baby to smile, getting children to be focused & engaged in the shoot, trading jokes with teenagers so they aren't camera shy, and getting to know the parent(s) so I can understand some of the family dynamic. Capturing a family's genuine interactions, their real love for each other, and funny moments are a perfect recipe for timeless photos.
The same above applies to dating profiles & candid shoots. For example, I'll capture photos casually in mid conversation, laughter/smile, while walking, brainstorming, posing, etc. I like to give these shoots a more "hang out" vibe as it's conducive to a relaxed environment & produces the best photos.
A fun fact about this photographer
15 years of my life were spent in basketball as an athlete, video coordinator, scout, coach, content creator, and video editor. I believe this helped me have great reaction time 😉
