What do you love about your job?
There are many things I enjoy with photography. One of them being that no two photoshoots are the same and no two models or clients are the same. There are always new ideas, new locations, new conditions to shoot in. It makes every shoot exciting, and it makes me work harder to find those perfect shots.
I also enjoy seeing people's reactions to the pictures we create. I've had some clients who were quite camera shy or who didn't know how to pose properly. With a little bit of time and positive speaking, we were able to take some great pictures and they really liked them and I saw a lot of them all over their social media.
With photography I'm able to tell a story in a single frame. People can look at an image and try to understand how someone is feeling or how the feel about the image. I think that's the beauty in photography.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done a fair amount of shoots for models and clients wanting photos for their social media accounts. One of the ways I made the sessions special is I connected with them and made them comfortable in front of the camera.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
My photos have been printed in the Utah National Guard magazines as well as being selected by the Department of Defense.
Some of my photos have been places highly in contests as well.
A fun fact about this photographer
I fun fact about myself is that I used to take photos for the Utah National Guard. I didn't know that it was an option in the military.
