More about Breanna S....
What do you love about your job?
There is nothing I cherish more than having the ability to tell stories through the lens of my camera. Whether it be a compelling love story, the story of expectant parents followed by the birth of their baby, or even just capturing the love between a family and children. Photography is one of the most brilliant artistic mediums ever invented, because it allows us to capture and freeze moments so that they become timeless, and being able to capture these timeless moments for my clients sets my soul on fire and fills me with so much joy.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I do a variety of shoots all year long, but my most frequent shoots are family sessions. Families are so much fun for me, because each one shares completely unique bonds with one another. I like to meet the family in our photoshoot location and chat with them for a few minutes to get a feel for their personalities and relationships with one another, that way I can learn their sense of humor to get those organic smiles. If there are younger children, I like to figure out what makes them laugh so that I can keep them giggling the whole time! If the kids are very young, I encourage parents to let them take the lead every now and then and do their own thing. Capturing children in their natural state is so important, that way their personalities truly shine through in the photographs.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
When I graduated high school, I received "Best Photographer" award, given to me by my photography teacher who started me in my career almost 10 years ago. I have also received recognition for several different agencies that I have worked for, as well as having my architecture photography work featured in a trade magazine.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am only 4'10", so naturally, I bring a step stool with me to every photoshoot so that I don't get any weird angles shooting from down below! Also, I have a 3-pound Chihuahua named Max, who follows me around like my own personal Pokemon.
