What do you love about your job?
My life philosophy resolves around noticing and quietly celebrating tiny moments of humanity, community, collaboration, joy, courage, resilience, and all the other beautiful traits that make us human.
Photography is simply an extension of my arm that allows those moments that speak to me be shared with others.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I come from a background in experiential marketing and much of my early photography work is rooted in that arena. These days, I've branched out into event photography in general as my primary focus. I've done real estate; portrait and lifestyle; social, engagement, and wedding; and commercial, product, and food photography.
My first priority with most shoots will always be to focus on the human experience. It's what speaks to the heart and brings me immense fulfillment and joy, and realistically, commercial clients aren't selling products - they're selling solutions and possibilities to the goals and dreams of other human beings.

"Alex, you are one of the best in the business. I'm looking through your shots right now, and absolutely blown away. Seriously, you just outshot all of my guys that have been at this for 20 years."

A fun fact about this photographer
I'm a recovering perfectionist, and I cannot take your headshot without moving that wayward strand of hair and fixing the collar sitting slightly-askew. I also grew up on beauty and fashion and was also on the other side of the camera lens for years as a car model, and I'll share with you if a clothing cut or color is not flattering on you - it's why I prefer to discuss wardrobe long before sessions.
