More about Aubrey T....
What do you love about your job?
Photography has many different aspects that I enjoy. The technical skills and techniques of using the camera appeals to the analytical side of my personality. Especially when I am working on real estate, food menus, and product photography, this methodical side takes over so that everything is very organized in the photo. When it comes to weddings and family photography, I want to let that be as free and chaotic as possible. The less weddings and children are controlled, the more authentic moments I can observe happening. I don't show up at a wedding with an idea of what things should look like or how people should act. I want my couples and families to feel free to be themselves. Your relationships are what give me the energy to keep going through a 10 to 12 hour work day.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done lots of weddings and I try to seek out what makes the couple unique and show how their wedding is different than everyone else's wedding. By looking for what is different rather than the same, I can showcase their relationship.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
My work has been shown in galleries in New York and in online exhibitions. I also placed in the top 10% in the Shoot and Share competition.
A fun fact about this photographer
I take a weekly pottery class and like to make wonky bowls. Most of the time they end up as cat dishes.
