More about Angela C....
What do you love about your job?
I love being able to do something I am passionate about. The creative side of my brain gets used every day, making each day a blessing. I love being able to make a living with my art. It is a glorious gift to be able to do something so wonderful and to be able to make an impact on so many people with it.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done so many types of shoots that it is hard to write about just a couple of them. My most meaningful work is the bereavement and remembrance photography I do for parents who have lost or are about to lose their babies. Being able to provide a lasting memory of that child that they will not be able to leave the hospital with is a beautiful gift. During those sessions, I focus on all the beautiful details of their baby. I take away the tubes and wires and hospital equipment. I allow those photos to emphasize the sweet little baby, their little eyelashes, their fingers, their toes. I speak to the parents softly throughout these sessions, offering them comforting words, expressing joy at the little details that make their baby special despite the baby's inability to sustain life. I try to make the worst day of those parents' lives just a little bit better and provide a lasting memory of their experience with me and of that bundle of joy that they will need to lay to rest all too soon.
