What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have a good story to tell. On this occasion, I was honored with an invitation to photograph at a women's penitentiary, specifically in a special ward dedicated to inmates about to give birth - all of them pregnant women. I poured my heart and soul into creating the most exceptional photograph of my career. Throughout the entire process, I remained steadfast in my commitment to work without judgment. My sole intention was to offer my very best to those women who found themselves confined and deprived of their individual freedoms.
The outcome of this project was nothing short of extraordinary, reaffirming the profound impact that photography can have on our lives. Through this experience, I was granted a precious opportunity to connect with unique and deeply touching stories, each one allowing me to delve into the essence of the person portrayed. This journey was transformative, further illuminating the power of photography as a medium to convey narratives and evoke heartfelt emotions. The encounters I had during this assignment left an indelible mark on my heart, and I am forever grateful for the humbling and inspiring moments that photography has led me to witness.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Throughout my career, I have been honored with several awards from various photography associations, both in Brazil and in the USA. My efforts were recognized internationally when one of my photographs captured in Paris won a prestigious global award. In addition, I had the immense satisfaction of being awarded for the impactful records I made in the Amazon during the pandemic, documenting the impact of Covid-19 on indigenous communities.

A fun fact about this photographer
I already fell to the floor during the bride's entrance to the church. I got knocked down by a dog! It was fun and luckily nothing serious happened.
