More about Wes H....

What do you love about your job?

What I love most about my job is the ability to blend creativity with purpose. Photography and videography allow me to tell stories visually, capturing moments that resonate and leave a lasting impact. Whether it's showcasing the beauty of a home, creating a compelling branding image, or capturing the perfect aerial shot, there's something incredibly rewarding about turning a vision into reality.

I also enjoy the variety—every project is different, from real estate photography to event coverage, and that keeps the work exciting and dynamic. I love working with clients to bring their ideas to life, helping them see their properties, businesses, or events in a new light. There's a deep satisfaction in knowing that my work contributes to their success, whether it's selling a home faster or enhancing their personal brand.

Lastly, photography offers endless opportunities to keep learning and evolving, both technically and creatively. Every shoot challenges me to push my skills further, and that constant growth is something I truly value in my job.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

For real estate photography, I take time to understand the property’s unique selling points—whether it’s a breathtaking view, an elegant design feature, or a cozy atmosphere. I use natural light whenever possible to make the space feel inviting and work carefully with angles and compositions to showcase the home’s best attributes. For home walkthrough videos, I add smooth, cinematic movements that help viewers imagine themselves moving through the space, creating a more immersive experience.

In drone photography, I make each shoot special by capturing striking aerial views that give a broader perspective of the property and its surroundings. It’s about finding those breathtaking shots—whether it’s the perfect sunset over a home or showcasing a sprawling landscape—that help the viewer see the property in a new and captivating way.

For branding content, I focus on the story the client wants to tell. Whether it’s personal branding for a professional headshot or content for a business’s social media, I work to bring out the essence of who they are and what they stand for. I often use a combination of stills and video to make the content dynamic and engaging, tailored to the client’s brand identity.

Finally, with event photography and videography, I strive to capture the energy and emotion of the moment, focusing on candid shots that tell the story as it unfolds. Whether it’s the excitement of an open house or the atmosphere of a promotional event, I aim to capture those little moments that make the event memorable.

What makes each shoot special is my dedication to understanding the client’s vision and delivering something that not only meets but exceeds their expectations. Every shoot is an opportunity to blend creativity with purpose, and that’s what I love about the work.

A fun fact about this photographer

A fun fact about me is that I run a YouTube channel called The Fear Files, where I share scary stories and dive into all things paranormal and mysterious. It’s a completely different creative outlet from my photography work, but it’s a fun way to explore my interest in storytelling through a spooky lens. I’ve always been fascinated by the unknown, so blending that curiosity with my passion for video production has been an exciting and creative project!
