In addition to his property photography business (ProPropertyPhotos.com), Wasim is an award-winning commercial travel, property and nature photographer (www.WasimOfNazareth.com) and videographer and co-founder of Superswell VR (www.SuperswellVR.com), a virtual reality video production company specializing in immersive experiences. He spent the better part of a decade creating marketing and advertising video assets for companies such as GAP, Mattel, and GM while starting and running his own print publication, and has dedicated the past several years using the imaging and marketing skills he has acquired to help organizations and groups that he supports, such as the National Park Service, the World Forestry Center, Outdoor Project, Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors, and the WHYMusic Social Emotional Learning program for public schools founded by the Earthtones organization.

Muklashy currently devotes much of his time to various humanitarian and environmental causes, and has self-tasked himself to develop original multimedia assets to help bring more attention to our underfunded protected public spaces. He is the creator and lead of popular social media platform Ello's official Outside Community, ElloOutside, and is also the creator and curator of The Future Is Pretty Rad (www.TheFutureIsPrettyRad.com), a popular futurist collection covering everything from sustainability, blockchain, 3D printing and beyond.

Wasim spends whatever time he has left documenting the surrounding parks and landscapes and open spaces through photography and VR, with the goal of exposing as many people as he can to the beauty that surrounds us each and every day...and reminding us to pay attention to it.

More about Wasim M....

What do you love about your job?

Everything! From telling stories, to meeting people, to gaining access to events, situations, cultures and viewpoints that I may never have experienced otherwise. I feel these interactions and experiences help me grow both professionally and personally. Perhaps most importantly, photography allows me to point my lens at all the beautiful that life has to offer, in a way that makes me remember that every day, all the time, everywhere, there is something beautiful...we just have to remind ourselves to be aware of it.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done everything from product photography to portrait shoots to property photography to travel, editorial and outdoor shoots, and each and every one of them is special in their own right. I try to remind myself that not only am I fortunate to be able to be there, at that moment, capturing the intention of what I'm standing in front of, but I'm also fortunate in that the subject itself has trusted me in that role.

And I do not take that lightly.

I'm very humble and grateful for every day that I get to do this and I think that enthusiasm for what I get to do shows to my clients, who often times become my friends.

A fun fact about this photographer

I once published a music magazine because I thought it would be a good idea while the music industry and publishing industries were both on the decline.

It wasn't a good idea.

I once opened an organic cafe because I thought it would be a good idea during a recession when all businesses, not the least of which being the restaurant industry, were on the decline.

It wasn't a good idea.

Oh, and I love tacos.

A lot.

Tacos are always a good idea.
