More about Vanessa F....
What do you love about your job?
I have two main passions in life, my family and photography. The fact that I have the opportunity to make a living pursuing one of my biggest passions in life is truly a blessing. There are many things I love about my job. For one, I love working in different locations. Sometimes a beautiful beach is my office for the day during a breathtaking sunset or sunrise. I get to work in different venues, usually beautiful spaces. I get to capture people's most important days, like weddings. Creating images that will last a lifetime, images that are going to be seen by generations to come. These photos are going to be treasured for many years and will be the only way people can be taken back to those moments. I love capturing people's vulnerability, joy, and love for one another. I can show people a side of them they weren't aware of, making them feel beautiful, helping them see their beauty. The list goes on, but those are the main things I love about my job.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I've shot a lot of portraits of young women trying to get into the modeling industry. I love the process of how at the beginning of a shoot they are shy at first not knowing how to pose and I help guide them and encourage them, helping them feel comfortable with themselves, until they start to blossom in front of the camera feeling secure which translates to some beautiful images. I've shot many weddings as well, which allows me to work very closely with the bride and groom. Sometimes you have to boost their confidence in order to get good photos, where they look happy and comfortable which also brings them more joy in such an important day. Photographing people is not just about snapping photos, you have to build some kind of relationship with them, a bond even, in order to create images they will love. Because ultimately people are looking for images where they like the way they look, more than anything. Knowing how to bring that out of them is something I've learned to do through out the years.

A fun fact about this photographer
I worked as a hairstylist and makeup artist for a few years. I worked lots of fashion shows in Miami doing hair and makeup for models. also did it for photo shoots and weddings. Worked at a salon in South Beach for about a year, until I decided I wanted to put all of my energy into photography. I'm still a huge makeup lover and occasionally do makeup for my shoots. I've also done the bridal hair and makeup and then shot the wedding. I did that on a few occasions but decided it was too much stress to do it all and started to only do the photography.
