More about Luke B....
What do you love about your job?
Stories are what humans have used to communicate lessons and teachings since the beginning of mankind. Now-a-days, pictures and videos are used as a storytelling device. My absolute most favorite part of my job is delivering photos to my clients and as they view them, see photos that they weren't aware were taken and see themselves in their beautiful, candid, natural state. They then can look back at this and be taken right back to that time and place - wether is be a wedding, ceremony, birthday or a holiday family photo. I love that I get to create the visual memories for them that will last for a lifetime.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done portraits, events and weddings. What I do to make them special is to have the photos as natural as possible. I find people in their most natural states are when they are most beautiful. I try to capture a smile, or a laugh, or a reaction that defines their character and essence, in a candid style. Telling silly jokes from behind the camera and capturing their laughter is a great way I capture natural laughter. For shoots that require direction, I love to make it creative and not just something that any one can accomplish. For someone with a history of ballet, capture them doing an aerial move in non ballet clothes, in nature, or in an industrial location. I have also worked on birthdays, real estate and corporate events as well.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received

A fun fact about this photographer
I play tons of music: guitar, vocals, bass, trumpet, and saxophone. I am an avid dreamer and love sharing dreams, and finding the meaning behind one's dream. I also play capoeira and love unusual modes of movement and using my body in ways that challenge my body and mind connection.
