What do you love about your job?

I love meeting people. I have met Presidents, actors, musicians, and just average people with amazing stories. It incredible to be a part of history, whether it's political or personal.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have a long career. In Hollywood, I worked on red carpets and at big events like the Emmys and the Grammys. I covered music, movie premieres and awards shows. At the same time I was working in wildfires. Unfortunately, California has them all year long. I also did immigration, women's and human rights.

I do not go for awards. That's not why I shoot.

A fun fact about this photographer

I was honored by the Obama White House for my voluntary work with the military. After my ex-boyfriend was killed in the Middle East, I started volunteering with all branches of the military in his honor. I'm continuing that on the East Coast, as I'm in the process of volunteering for the Coast Guard Auxilary.
