More about Kim W....
What do you love about your job?
Every day is a new day, every project presents it's own rewarding challenges. It is the variety that offers making images exciting! Even after 50 years!
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
There are an infinite number of variables involved in capturing the best image. So when presented with smaller items like products, or food, I play with the compositions and lighting, as well as camera settings to deliver the greatest shots. Architecture works the same, but on a larger scale.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I do not like formal competitions. I focus on creating. Though I have taken photos for major magazines, professional auto racing teams, actor head shots and that sort of thing. I do have some awards for my graphic design work, but I am not one to boast. It's all about the client and doing the best work that suits them!
A fun fact about this photographer
I am a unique person... I fly airplanes, I work on cars, I have designed and served as a GC on a restaurant, my husband and I have gutted and rebuilt 3 houses, I founded a comedy festival in the college town I live in, I serve on two boards, one a children's theater and the other an auto racing museum, and bunches of more eccentric things.
