More about Josh B....
What do you love about your job?
I love telling stories with it but I also love how I use it as a creative outlet. My mind is always thinking photography, on how I can still create and how I can transform a mundane photo into a work of art.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I photographed a wedding in Feburary 2020, right before COVID-19. Outside of giving them the best experience I could, I helped them out even more afterwards. The bride's favorite uncle was there and he ended up getting sick and ultimately succumbed to COVID. The photos I took of him that day were some of the last photos she has of him. After I heard that, I went back in to the photos that I didn't deliver. I went and found every photo I took of him and delivered them to her. She was beyond ecstatic.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have been in 15 art shows in the past 2 years and have been nominated in Creative Loafings "Best of the Bay" the past 2 years, for best photographer.
A fun fact about this photographer
I spent 21 years in the Coast Guard and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Central and South America, in my time in the service.
