More about Jonathan M....
What do you love about your job?
The most rewarding thing about my job is connecting with the subjects and creating the most genuine and professional peaks into who they are at heart.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
From surprise proposals, to motorsport profile and portraits; each requires a level of tact and understanding to bring out the most genuine expressions of self. Stepping back and working alongside the talent to pick their brain, set up a scene and pose them is a delicate balance between direction and listening. I love to provide a comfortable experience while making sure we get the best results possible. Adapting to the subject's personality and comfort level to help them be their best is one of my favorite skills to use during a session.
A fun fact about this photographer
I became an action sports videographer first, after a season ending injury. Shooting freestyle skiing and lifestyle content for brands and mountains around New England with my crew of misfits. Photography came when I began documenting the intensity and grit demanded of athletes and professionals in the action sports world. My portraits seek to capture the raw emotion and the truest form of the subject. An honest photo is an impactful photo.
