More about Joe G....
What do you love about your job?
For me the number one advantage of my job is the opportunity to create. I see photography as another form of art, just like painting or music. You get to capture a moment in time and make it last so that others can enjoy it too. Photography forces you to look for more in a situation or scene, and take note of details that people ordinarily wouldn't notice. I love finding the magic in the details and using those to produce images that inspire and create windows into worlds people don't always see.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done night clubs, commercial business settings, events, fashion, newborn and real estate. The key to making a shoot successful is creating an easy going atmosphere. Taking photos is fun and putting your subjects at ease isn't a hard task but will always greatly enhance the final product. That being said, I would say the true tool in making my shoots stand out is to find the right light and then use it to my advantage. The combination of natural light and flash can have impressive results but to me the right natural lighting is the secret.

In high school I achieved a photography award in art and won a tertiary photo competition held by the Launceston City Council back in 2007.
