What do you love about your job?
In school, I was trained to shoot like a documentarian - from wide to tight - telling an entire story of whatever I was photographing. I have taken that training too all the jobs I take, whether it is product or travel or portraiture. I love taking an angle or a perspective that others don't notice, I love surprising my clients with the unexpected, I love creating that really special image that others can fall in love with.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
When I approach any shoot, I do so with a friendly and professional demeanor, and ensure the client is comfortable with what I am committing to and what I will provide. Photo shoots can be awkward and uncomfortable, and I try to make every interaction a fun one. And I always strive to deliver the best, most high end images possible, and will not stop until I know I have successfully shot those images.
I have shot a little of everything: Weddings and special events; lifestyle; architecture; editorial; portraiture; pets; children; families; nature and landscapes; corporate marketing; movie production behind-the-scenes; journalism stories and documentary. Each job teaches me something new about how to make the next one better.
