More about Frances A....
What do you love about your job?
Everything!
Whether it's to bring a concept to life, capture a brief interaction or simply portray an emotion, my line of work in photography allows me to quite literally frame a moment of someone's history.
And throughout all of these wonderful things I get to support myself while using a creative outlet of storytelling, which also (very conveniently) happens to be my passion.
Additionally, it's a lot of fun.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done many professional shoots for editorials, covered all types of events and portrait photography including; families, headshots for artists and corporate professionals. I'm also constantly working on Photojournalism and commercial photography for exceptional brands and creative entrepreneurs on top of my Sports coverage.
I like to think that every single shoot is special and is always treated that way. I take my time on many different small details and I always let my clients know that what is perceived as a job for me is an excuse to have a good time.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was honoured by fineArt America in 2019 for my Landscape series.
I have won the AI-AP competition for women in Photography in 2014.
And I have participated in the 2010 Making all mothers visible campaign featuring as the cover photo for Bs. As.
A fun fact about this photographer
I went to an art School for musicians. Played several instruments but never made anything out of it. I worked as a bartender for many years but I rarely have a drink myself and as a hobby I make things on a 3D printer, because why not?
