What do you love about your job?
Photography for me is like therapy. It's calming, fun, and I since I already love to travel, it has opened up so many opportunities to be able to do both. I love the storytelling capabilities it has whether it's for products, food, families, or locations.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Portraits (Families, couples, individuals), products, food, real estate, and interior photography. For portraits, I love prompts and activities that create an engagement with family members, couples, or even an individual person) I love capturing the emotion and moments within those engagements. Food and product photography for me isn't just about the main subject, but how you help express the story of it by how it is styled. Like an actor or actress before a show, as a real estate and interior photographer, I love being able to capture the beauty of spaces.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I've obtained many judge and peer awards on ViewBug, but my favorite is the International Photography Awards in 2019. I got runner up in the area of "Capturing Motion" with my photo of the Big Boy train that came through Arkansas a few years ago.
A fun fact about this photographer
Among having a previous career in IT for 17 years, I am also a Crossfit L1 Certified Trainer. My nickname is also Scoot lol. Dubbed by my grandma for as long as I can remember.
