More about emma b....
What do you love about your job?
For me, photography is about a lot more than just taking nice photos; you have to connect with the people you're photographing and ensure they're relaxed and enjoying themselves as well, so for me, being a people person is something very important and one of the reasons I love my job; I am a massive people person. I love the feedback I get from clients when they tell me they felt totally at ease despite expecting to be very nervous and feel very self-conscious! I love seeing someone flourish in front of the camera and knowing I've taken some beautiful photos they will be proud to show off. Client satisfaction is incredibly important to me and I am thankful that I have many returning clients, not just because they love their photos but also because they loved working with me.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
hundreds of family shoots, weddings, engagements and proposals as well as portraits and brand and lifestyle. I've also done a lot of interior/architecture shoots. making them special is a lot about how I am as a person, ensuring people feel relaxed, everyone is having fun and making it all as effortless as possible for all involved. I always ensure I fully understand the brief and will check anything during the shoot that is needed as well as showing the client the back of the camera to check I'm capturing what they're expecting if necessary
A fun fact about this photographer
I studied linguistics at university and played piano, guitar and flute at school. I also do a lot of street photography - my favourite is embracing the rather erratic manchester weather at night
