What do you love about your job?

I love that photography is the perfect union of art and technology. For someone who is both artistic as well as a gadget and computer geek it is the ideal vehicle for creative self-expression. Today's cameras and software enable us to produce high quality work that was inconceivable just a few years ago. I was always an early adopter of new tech and look forward to what's coming next.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I've most done real estate shoots and making them special in appearance often required taking bracketed shots and blending them into HDR images to expand the dynamic range. This let views see the shadow detail clearly as well as the bright land or seascape outside the windows which would otherwise have been overexposed.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I do not enter contests, so no awards, but I do contribute to a photo group on Facebook and once got over 2000 likes for a photo.

A fun fact about this photographer

I design and build websites as a hobby and currently serve as webmaster for a club I belong to. Since I am also the club photographer, I get to showcase my photos on the site. I have also made a promotional video using a slideshow application as well as videotaped a club event.
