More about Beatriz A....
What do you love about your job?
I love being able to do different things every time, meet new people and physically move from one place to the other.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I did headshots for an advertising agency of 35 employees. I approached every person and tried to make them feel at ease, and have a laugh with them while keeping in mind framing and composition. I oversaw all the production, getting the right lights, softboxes and backdrop, and organizing the shoot so it would run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Selected exhibitions: Guatephoto 2015, The Tipping Point at ICP, NYC, 2015, Barcu Art Fair in Bogota, Colombia, 2017.
In 2017, Lonely Planet selected and published one of my images.
A fun fact about this photographer
I like traveling quite a lot, but once I found myself in San Jose California instead of San Jose, Costa Rica having booked the wrong tickets. It was a trip I had been planning for months just to realize on the airplane that we were probably not headed to Central America. Needless to say my children were not happy, so in search of warm weather we ended up in Palm Springs.
